Internship #1 Description
Intern with Dr. Craig Finlayson, The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery
The PICS intern will function as a research assistant primarily. There are multiple ongoing research projects, and the student's project can be selected based on his or her interests. The intern will also have the opportunity to shadow in clinic and the operating room and will gain exposure to all aspects of academic medicine.
Intern with Dr. Seth Goldstein, The Division of Pediatric General Surgery: the PICS intern will have an immersive research and clinical experience. In addition to clinical exposure to pediatric general surgery, the intern will work as a member of our research team. Interns will learn about the breadth of practice including congenital conditions, pediatric tumors, and trauma, and will tailor a research program accordingly. Authorship at a national meeting and inclusion in PubMed indexed work is likely for the successful student.
Internship #2 Description
