Arm In Arm is a local non-profit with offices in Trenton and Princeton. We provide homelessness prevention and hunger prevention services to Mercer County residents. we also work with community members in obtaining employment and restoring their driver's licenses.

Internship Description
The intern will work with the two main components of the agency: homelessness prevention and hunger prevention. Could include interaction with clients by providing them with direct services (e.g intakes, providing information and referrals, handing out food bags, etc.). The intern will also develop, conduct and report outcome studies for the two programs.

Housing Information
There isn't housing in the immediate area (approximately 10 miles from the University) so campus housing would be a viable solution.
Internship Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to interact with people from various racial, social, economic backgrounds.
- Attitude and behavior consistent with core values of the organization, demonstrating compassion, dignity and respect in interactions with clients, staff, volunteers, interns, community partners and supporters.
- Sensitivity and appropriate conduct in a culturally diverse environment.
- Flexible and adaptable to a constant changing environment.
- Understanding of issues of homelessness, hunger and poverty.
