Internship Description

The DACIPAD's work is directed by Congress and the DoD General Counsel. Many projects are assigned with 90 day deadlines, so the specific assignment will not be known until next summer. However, our work involves research, writing reports, interviewing subject matter experts, and developing policy and legislative reforms to the DoD and Congress. Our 2021 summer intern researched restorative engagement programs in our allies' armed forces. Our 2021 fall intern is researching state sentencing guidelines. The intern will enhance their research and writing skills and develop an understanding of the military justice system and policy making in the Department of Defense.
