Golden Apple’s vision is one in which every classroom has a great teacher and to realize this, we are committed to making a material difference in resolving the teacher shortage. Golden Apple combines its decades’ worth of experience and ability to leverage the most recent best practices and innovations within education to fulfill its mission and proposed work. Golden Apple is supporting and increasing a robust teacher pipeline with high-achieving, diverse students who ensure that their students – no matter their race, ethnicity, income, or zip code – receive the high-quality education they deserve.
To this end, we recognize Master Teachers and School Leaders with our Annual Excellence in Teaching and Leadership Awards. Those Master Teachers provide preparation, instruction, coaching, and mentoring to our aspiring teachers and to those in their early years of teaching through our two teacher preparation programs: the Golden Apple Scholars program for undergraduates, and our Golden Apple Accelerators program for career-changers.
Over the past few years we’ve hosted PICS interns that have positively contributed to our Scholar program by being an essential team member while we host Scholar Institute. PICS interns work with Scholars, instructors, and our Golden Apple Team. In the past, PICS interns have created surveys, delivered data presentations, managed our Scholar Institute app, and generally supported Scholars. We hope to support an intern to meet their career and development goal while being a strong contributor to our work supporting future teachers.

There are occasional evening events at Scholar Institutes that the intern would want to participate in. We should not have much work outside of a typical work day.
