Internship Description 

The work we are currently considering for the intern is to do staff and customer surveys about post-discharge call process and conduct surveys on the NYP RN side of the calls, ease of communication, and garner their input on how to improve connection with patients, be better prepared for their questions, and therefore yield better outcomes (patient safety, patient experience as measured by HCAHPS survey). 

We could also conceive a project with the intern evaluating the impact of our new upgraded TV system – pCare – particularly on the content and conduct patient feedback survey on what aspects of the new TV are most valuable, as well as their knowledge and understanding of its features. They may be helpful in creating an introduction to patients so they are aware of its features, as well as informing us about what patients find most useful and other feedback.

Internship Qualifications

The intern will be particpating in a variety of Patient Experience initiatives. They need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Preferred experience in a hospital setting or customer service setting.

Additional qualifications:

Must be comfortable entering patient areas and patient rooms in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
