The Office of Senator Robert Menendez strives to fight for the powerless against the powerful. Senator Menendez has used his positions on the Foreign Relations Committee and on the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee to fight for New Jersey Families. By sponsoring a Princeton intern, our office hopes to inspire future generations of public servants.

Internship Description

Duties include attending congressional hearings, writing memos, and assisting staff with legislative research. Interns will also be answering phones, giving U.S. Capitol tours, and processing mail.

Housing Information

Washington Student Housing (WISH) can help with finding locations for interns. Subletting is also an option for interns who wish to relocate to D.C. for their virtual internship (not required).

Internship Qualifications

  • Prospective interns should be mature, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
  • Candidates should also have strong research and writing skills.

Additional qualifications:

  • New Jersey ties are preferred, but not required.
